Melanie is a multiple award-winning photographer, twice Maryland Photographer of the Year, Current Chairman and Former President of Maryland Professional Photographer’s Association, Certified Professional Photographer, holds her Photographic Craftsman, along with recently being named a 'Top 100 Studio' in the country, and was recently elected to the PPA Council for 2018 – 2021.

Melanie is a wife to her husband of 23 years, Bill, and a mother to their four children, Sarah, Emily, Kayla and Billy. Not only does she travel internationally educating others, judging print competitions, and filming for commercial clients, Melanie has nurtured Anderson Photographs from a home studio into the 3,000 square-foot custom photographic and cinema studio it is today, specializing in Seniors, Children, Newborns, Families, Volume Sports, Boudoir, and Commercial Photography. The studio is located in the Arts & Entertainment District, downtown Hagerstown, MD.

Most recently, Melanie rebranded to Melanie Anderson WORLDWIDE to showcase all her endeavors, internationally traveling for public speaking, Education, Podcasts, Inspired Retreats and more. As founder and educator of 'The Focus Tour,' and 'Find Your Focus 365,' she is a speaker for Imaging, WPPI, SWPP, SYNC, Shutterfest, Texas School, and numerous State PPA Chapters. Melanie has filmed and was the correspondent for several segments for Photovision. She stays passionate about one-on-one mentoring and works diligently to provide educational resources to fellow photographers through Anderson Education, which includes webinars, eBooks, videos, and workshops.
